Ultram [Tramadol HCl] Description
Tramadol hydrochloride is a synthetic analgesic. It binds to opioid receptors and negates the feeling of pain by reducing the brain's response to the pain signals. It is also said to work similarly to some antidepressants by blocking the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine. This medicine is prescribed for treatment of moderate or moderately severe pain.
Uses of Generic Ultram
It's a prescription pain medicine, for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe pain, and generally taken "as needed". The medicine does not increase the risk of stomach ulceration or internal bleeding that can happen with NSAID usage. It is also used to treat pain caused by chronic conditions like cancer, joint pain, or post-surgery.
It's prescribed to adults, as well as youngsters who are 16 and above.
How to Use Generic Ultram tablets
The dose is dependent on the age and medical condition of the individual. It can also be modified considering the patients' response. Take the medicine exactly as prescribed. It should be taken with water, but can be taken regardless of meals.
Missed Dose of Generic Ultram
In case you miss a dose, consult your doctor. It's normally taken every 4-6 hours in a day, so you can take the missed dose provided there is plenty of time left for the next dose, but if the time for your scheduled dose is approaching, then leave the missed dose and take the regular one: don't double your dose.

- SSRIs such as Citalopram, Fluoxetine, or Paroxetine
- SNRIs like Duloxetine, or Venlafaxine
- Antidepressants like Amitriptyline, Amoxapine, or Trimipramine
- Other opioid pain relievers such as Morphine or Codeine
- Antihistamines like Diphenhydramine
- Sleep medicines like Promethazine, or Zolpidem
- MAOIs such as Phenelzine, Rasagiline, or Selegiline
Storage of Generic Ultram
After you buy Ultram, keep the bottle properly capped and store it at a room temperature between 15oC-30oC, safe from heat, light and dampness. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Precautions of Generic Ultram
